Tropical leaves handmade birthday card+template - Biglietto di compleanno fatto a mano con foglie tropicali+carta modello
La card di questa settimana è decisamente diversa dal solito e vi confesso che per realizzarla mi ci è voluto davvero un sacco di tempo (fra poco capirete perchè), ma l'ho creata per il compleanno di mio marito Daniele e volevo che fosse molto speciale 😊
L'idea di partenza era quella di creare un effetto traforato applicando delle immagini a rilievo ravvicinate fra loro, lasciando un'area centrale libera per i banner con le scritte.
Ho optato per un tema tropicale usando delle foglie di vario tipo e delle semiperline adesive in tinta. Ecco il risultato!
This week's card is a bit different from the usual ones and, to be honest, it took me quite a while to make it (you'll understand why later), but I made it for my hubby Daniele's birthday and I wanted it to be extra special 😊
My idea was to create a doily effect using repetitive images and leaving a central space for the sentiment. I decided to go for a tropical theme so I used some leaves and some matching enamel dots. Here is the result!
Per creare questa card ho innanzitutto disegnato un template a pc inserendo le foglie (che ho scaricato dal web) ed i tre banner con le scritte dimensionati correttamente. Ho poi stampato il tutto su cartoncino bianco ed ho ritagliato i singoli elementi usando una taglierina (e questa è la parte luuuuuuunghissima 😂).
Dopo di che, usando degli adesivi dimensionali, ho incollato i tre banner su un biglietto in cartoncino bianco ripiegato e le foglie attorno cercando di creare un motivo equilibrato lasciando degli spazi calcolati e tagliando tutte le parti in eccesso.
Per finire ho aggiunto qualche semi perlina adesiva verde qui e là ed ho steso del Glossy Accent per rendere lucide alcune porzioni.

To create this card I started by designing a template with the leaves (that I downloded from the web) and the banners all correctly sized. I then printed it on a white cardstock and I cut out all the parts using an X-acto knife (that's the super long part 😂 ).
Using some foam dots I adhered the 3 banners on a white folded card and all the leaves around them trying to space them correctly and to create an even pattern. I cut off all the exceeding bit and I finished up the card adding some green enamel dots and using some Glossy accents here and there.
