Travel diary: #UKRoadtrip2016 Days 5 & 6 : Exploring Bath and Bristol
Continua il nostro viaggio attraverso il Sud dell'Inghilterra e nel post + vlog di oggi esploreremo la bellissima Bath, con le sue terme romane, ci concederemo qualche ora di relax in una SPA e visiteremo Bristol.

Our travel across the South of England is still going strong and in today's post + vlog we'll explore the beautiful Bath, we'll treat ourselves with a few hours in a SPA and we'll visit Bristol.

Wednesday August 10th 2016 - Exploring Bath
Va detto che tutta la città ha un fascino particolare, con degli scorci indimenticabili, come il Pulteney Bridge (uno dei pochi ponti coperti al mondo) che si specchia sul fiume o il Victoria Park dove ci concediamo una sosta sdraiati sull'erba :)
I shall say that Bath has a unique charm and offers some memrable views, like the Pulteney Bridge reflected in the river or the Victoria Park where we rest for a bit laying on the soft grass :)
Come dicevo Bath è famosa per le sue terme antiche, ma è famosa in tutta l'Inghilterra anche per le sue SPA, così nel pomeriggio ci concediamo qualche ora nellaThermae Bath Spa godendoci l'acqua tiepida nella piscina sul tetto con vista sull'Abazia.
As I said Bath is mainly famous for its roman Bath, but TBH it's also well known for its SPAs, that's why we decide to pamper ourselves with a few hours at the Thermae Bath Spa enjoying the warm water of the rooftop pool.
Bath mi ha conquistata immediatamente grazie alla sua atmosfera rilassata, al fiume che scorre pacifico ed al suo essere in bilico fra antico e contemporaneo.
La prima tappa della nostra esplorazione non potevano che essere i Roman Baths, le terme romane, che si trovano proprio al centro della città.
Bath sorge infatti su una sorgente calda naturale e le acque che arrivano in superficie rendono da secoli questo luogo davvero unico.
Le terme, conservate egregiamente, sono una meta imperdibile che consiglio a tutti.
Bath had me at first sight thanks to its peacefulness and its being a perfect balance of new and ancient.
The first stop of our tour had to be the Roman Baths located in the town center, Bath was infact built around a natural hot spring and the water that reaches the surface makes a unique place to visit.
The baths, perfectly preversed, are a location I absolutely sugget to see.

Thursday August 11th 2016 - Bristol
Bristol dista solo 10 minuti da Bath, ma l'atmosfera che la circonda non potrebbe essere più diversa. Tanto Bath è rilassata, elegante e permeata di un fascino antico, quanto Bristol è moderna, piena di contrasti e decadentemente cool :)
Le strutture industriali del porto fanno sa cornice al museo M shed, tutto dedicato alla storia della cottà in tutte le sue sfaccettature, dalla musica di Tricky ai pezzi di Bansky, passando per le navi antiche ed i vecchi autobus.
Bristol is only a few miles away from Bath but it couldn't be more different.
As much as Bath is peacefull, elegant and with an ancient charm as Bristol is modern, full of contrasts and decadently cool :)
The industrial structures of the harbour frame the M shed museum, all about Bristol in its many aspects, from Tricky's music to Bansky's work or the old ships and buses.
Noi girovaghiamo per la città affascinati, andando a scovare i lavori di Bansky sui palazzi e nel Bristol museum & Art Gallery.
We stroll around fascinated, trying to find Bansky's work around the town and in the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery.
E poi arriva il momento di riprendere il treno per Bath e goderci una cenetta e la splendida Abazia illumintata.
Then it's time to get the train back to Bath and enjoy a lovely dinner and the view of the Abbey at night time.
