Travel diary: #UKRoadtrip2016 Days 13,14 & 15: Brighton, visiting the 7 Sisters cliffs and London fun

benvenuti all'ultimo post + vlog di viaggio del nostro #UkRoadtrip2016.
Oggi vi porteremo a spasso per la vivace Brighton, nel silenzio assoluto dello spettacolare Seven Sisters Country Park e dritti nel cuore di Londra, fra shopping e ristoranti glam. Enjoy!!

Today we'll bring you along while visiting Brighton, in the peaceful and breathtaking Seven Sisters Country Park and straight to the heart of London. Enjoy!
Il bello di Brighton è che sà regalare vivacità e colore anche in una giornata uggiosa.
Nonostante il tempo infelice decidiamo di prendere il meglio dalla nostra ultima giornata in città e passeggiando per le pittoresche Lanes ( i vicoli che punteggiano il centro, pieni di negozi originali, caffè e pasticcerie da togliere il fiato), ammiriamo i mille graffiti, ci lasciamo affascinare dalle cupole arabeggianti del Royal Pavillion e ci spingiamo in cima al molo, circondati da giostre colorate, risate e gabbiani.
Insomma non ci facciamo mancare nulla, nemmeno una gustosa cena vegetariana per concludere la giornata nel modo migliore.
The good thing about Brighton is that it can fill your eyes wuth colors and happiness even on a gloomy day .
So, inspite of the bad weather we decided to get the best out of the last few hours we have to spend in town by strolling around the lovely Lanes (tiny alleys located in the center of the city and filled with unique shops, cafés and patisseries), we enjoy the many graffitis, we stare fascinated at the arabic looking domes of the Royal Pavillion and we even walk to the end of the pier, surrounded by crazy attractions, laughs and seagulls.
Then to top this amazing day off we even treat ourselves with a yummy vegetarian dinner.
E' arrivato il momento di lasciare Brighton e raggiungere l'ultima tappa del nostro roadtrip,così sotto una pioggerellina salutiamo la città e ci dirigiamo verso il Seven Sistes Country Park, un parco spettacolare con 280 ettari di bianche scogliere in gesso.
Il panorama che ci attende è quasi irreale, una distesa di terra punteggiata da corsi d'acqua, prati e vegetazione, che raggiunge l'oceano e le scogliere che si stragliano in lontananza.
Camminare lungo in sentiero, nel silenzio più assoluto , interrotto solo dal belare delle pecore, è stata un'esperienza favolosa.
It's time to leave Brighton and reach our last destination, so, under the drizzling rain we say goodbye to the city and head to the Seven Sisters Country Park, a breathtaking location made of 280 hectares of white chalk cliffs.
Once we get there the view is trurly amazing, almost unreal, a stretch of land dotted with water streams, grass and low vegetation that reaches the ocean, with the white cliffs emerging from it.
Walking in such a peaceful environment with the only company of a few sheep has been an unforgettable experience.
Dopo la pace del Seven Sisters Country Park è il momento di raggiungere Londra per lasciare la nostra amata macchina.
Ci siamo divertiti un mondo a scorrazzare per il sud dell'Inghilterra a bordo di questo bolide rosso e salutarlo ci rende un po' tristi.
After the peaceful stroll in the Seven Sisters Country Park it's time to reach London and drop off our beloved car. We had a lot of fun driving around the South of England and leaving the red cutie behind it's a bit heartbreaking :(
A riportare immediatamente il sorriso sulla mia facciotta tonda è però l'idea che sto per tornare a Londra, uno dei miei luoghi del cuore ed anche se per un solo giorno, il pensiero basta a rendermi felice.
Sai che un luogo è parte di te quando ritornarci ti emoziona, nonostante sia la miglionesima volta che ci vai e per me è così Londra è casa ed io la amo follemente.
Perciò, dopo una doccia veloce ed un tè con pasticcini, sento il bisogno di uscire a respirare un po' di aria londinese. In più la nostra amica Lis (che vive in città) ha prenotato una favolosa cena giapponese per noi in pieno centro...un vero sogno :)
Anyway the idea of being back in London immediately makes me smile again, I love this city, it's a place of the heart and everytime I'm back I feel happy, excited, at home.
So, after a quick shower and a tea, I feel the urge to head out and breathe the city in, not to mention that we have a lovely japanese dinner booked for us by our dear friend Lis.
E' il nostro ultimo giorno di viaggio, domani si riparte, ed abbiamo un sacco di cose in programma, iniziando da Portobello market, il famoso mercato dell'antiquariato (che ormai è diventato questo e molto altro :) ).
Amo molto la zona di Nottinghill con le sue case colorate ed il mercato di Portobello ha il fascino un po' kitch dei luoghi turistici che in fin dei conti io amo :)
Girovaghiamo fra le bancarelle per qualche ora, poi raggiungiamo la nostra amica Lis per pranzo in un adorabile locale a Chelsea e ci godiamo il pomeriggio insieme fra cocktails e shopping.
It's our last day here, tomorrow we'll fly back, and we have a lot planned, starting with Portobello market (the famous antiques market, that has now become a lot more than that :) ).
I love Nottinghill with item colorfull houses and Portobello Road has the classic kitch charm of the touristic location that I quite enjoy.
We stroll around the stalls until it's time to meet our friend Lis for lunch in a lovely restaurant in Chelsea.
We spent the rest of the afternoon together, dinking a few cocktails and shopping.
Una veloce tappa in hotel e siamo pronti per la nostra serata fuori, Lis ci fa scoprire Quaglino's, un ristorante dal look retro chic, con musica dal vivo e spettacolari cocktails.
Un modo perfetto per concludere il nostro viaggio.
A quick stop at the hotel and we're ready for our night out, Lis booked a fancy restaurant called Quaglino's with a cool retro vibe and live music. A perfect way to end our trip.

Sono stati 15 giorni indimenticabili e spero che vi siate divertiti anche voi a seguire le nostre avventure.

Il bello di Brighton è che sà regalare vivacità e colore anche in una giornata uggiosa.
Nonostante il tempo infelice decidiamo di prendere il meglio dalla nostra ultima giornata in città e passeggiando per le pittoresche Lanes ( i vicoli che punteggiano il centro, pieni di negozi originali, caffè e pasticcerie da togliere il fiato), ammiriamo i mille graffiti, ci lasciamo affascinare dalle cupole arabeggianti del Royal Pavillion e ci spingiamo in cima al molo, circondati da giostre colorate, risate e gabbiani.
Insomma non ci facciamo mancare nulla, nemmeno una gustosa cena vegetariana per concludere la giornata nel modo migliore.

Friday August 19th 2016 - Seven Sisters Country Park and reaching London
E' arrivato il momento di lasciare Brighton e raggiungere l'ultima tappa del nostro roadtrip,così sotto una pioggerellina salutiamo la città e ci dirigiamo verso il Seven Sistes Country Park, un parco spettacolare con 280 ettari di bianche scogliere in gesso.
Il panorama che ci attende è quasi irreale, una distesa di terra punteggiata da corsi d'acqua, prati e vegetazione, che raggiunge l'oceano e le scogliere che si stragliano in lontananza.
Camminare lungo in sentiero, nel silenzio più assoluto , interrotto solo dal belare delle pecore, è stata un'esperienza favolosa.
It's time to leave Brighton and reach our last destination, so, under the drizzling rain we say goodbye to the city and head to the Seven Sisters Country Park, a breathtaking location made of 280 hectares of white chalk cliffs.
Once we get there the view is trurly amazing, almost unreal, a stretch of land dotted with water streams, grass and low vegetation that reaches the ocean, with the white cliffs emerging from it.
Walking in such a peaceful environment with the only company of a few sheep has been an unforgettable experience.
Dopo la pace del Seven Sisters Country Park è il momento di raggiungere Londra per lasciare la nostra amata macchina.
Ci siamo divertiti un mondo a scorrazzare per il sud dell'Inghilterra a bordo di questo bolide rosso e salutarlo ci rende un po' tristi.
After the peaceful stroll in the Seven Sisters Country Park it's time to reach London and drop off our beloved car. We had a lot of fun driving around the South of England and leaving the red cutie behind it's a bit heartbreaking :(
A riportare immediatamente il sorriso sulla mia facciotta tonda è però l'idea che sto per tornare a Londra, uno dei miei luoghi del cuore ed anche se per un solo giorno, il pensiero basta a rendermi felice.
Sai che un luogo è parte di te quando ritornarci ti emoziona, nonostante sia la miglionesima volta che ci vai e per me è così Londra è casa ed io la amo follemente.
Perciò, dopo una doccia veloce ed un tè con pasticcini, sento il bisogno di uscire a respirare un po' di aria londinese. In più la nostra amica Lis (che vive in città) ha prenotato una favolosa cena giapponese per noi in pieno centro...un vero sogno :)

E' il nostro ultimo giorno di viaggio, domani si riparte, ed abbiamo un sacco di cose in programma, iniziando da Portobello market, il famoso mercato dell'antiquariato (che ormai è diventato questo e molto altro :) ).
