Iconic figures of the 20th century: Elvis accessories

Potevo non dedicare una parure all'icona delle icone, il re, l'indimenticabile e sempre amato Elvis?
Una serie dedicata alle figure iconiche del 20° secolo non sarebbe completa senza di lui, ça va sans dire :)
La parure che ho realizzato è composta da un paio di orecchini, una spilla ed un anello.
Fra le moltissime immagini di Elvis ne ho scelta una particolarmente pop , si tratta di uno scatto del 1957 utilizzato per promuovere il singolo "(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear" nel quale un giovane Elvis sfoggia un sorriso ammiccante stringendo fra le braccia tre orsetti di peluche.

Could I avoid creating a parure inspired by the most iconic figure, the king, the unforgettable and always loved Elvis?
A serie about the iconic figures of the 20th century would not be complete without him, ça va sans dire :)
The parure I created is made of a pair of earrings, a ring and a brooch.
Among the many photos portraying Elvis I chose a very pop one, it is a picture from 1957 shot to promote his single "(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear" and it displays a young smiling Elvis holding three teddy bears.
Per l'anello ho utilizzato una base tonda in bronzo anticato con copertura in vetro. I colori smorzati dell'immagine ben si adattano alla tonalità calda del bronzo.
For the ring I used a round vintage copper base with domed glass cover. The pale sepia colours of the picture perfectly match with the warm shades of copper.
Per gli orecchini in abbinamento ho ripreso la forma tonda ed il materiale rendendo i due accessori perfettamente in linea l'uno con l'altro.
For the matching earrings I repeated the round shape and the use of vintage copper so that both accessory follow the same line.
Per finire ho realizzato una spilla ovale, sporcando l'immagine per renderla più pop.
I completed the parure with a big oval brooch and I decided to smudge a bit the picture to give it a more pop look.
