Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge #52

Per la sketch challenge #52 di Waltzing mouse potevamo scegliere fra un gran numero di layout diversi, il ché è fantastico ..... più spazio all'immaginazione!
Fra i molti schemi proposti mi ha immediatamente colpita quello di Savitri Wilder,l'idea dei banner laterali è bellissima!

For Waltzing mouse sketch challenge #52 we could choose among a lot of different layouts and that's awesome 'cause it leaves so much room for imagination!
I chose Savitri Wilder's one because I loved the side banners so much!

Ho utilizzato il layout proposto per creare un biglietto di compleanno semplice, ma ad effetto.
Partendo da una base neutra, tono su tono ho giocando sui contrasti fra i banner ed il pattern paper scelto per l'abito (che è l'elemento predominante insieme alle rose in stucco).
Ho aggiunto delle perle adesive sulla cintura del vestito per dare movimento ed utilizzato il timbro della collezione "Cake and candles" di technique tuesday abbinato alle lettere chipboard in tessuto per il sentiment.
Sono soddisfatta del risultato finale....e voi cosa ne pensate?

I used the layout to create a simple and elegant birthday card.
Starting from a neutral, tone on tone background I played with the contrast between the banners colors and the patterned paper used for the gown (which is the main accent on the card together with the stucco roses).
I added some sticky pearls on the dress belt for an extra effect and used a Tecnique Tuesday "Cake and candles" stamp matched with fabric chipboard letters for the sentiment.
I love how it turned out...what about you? Do you like it?
