Mark Ryden inspired accessories
Criptiche, macabre, dissacranti, surreali, decadenti, stranianti, delicate, scioccanti.
Questi sono alcuni degli aggettivi che mi vengono in mente quando penso alle opere di Marc Ryden ed a mio avviso è proprio il contrasto tra la delicatezza ed il macabro a rendere affascinante il lavoro di Ryden.
La parure che presento oggi si ispira a due dei suoi quadri che più amo, "the tree of life" e "Fountain", ed è composta da collana, spilla ed orecchini.
Cryptic, macabre, irreverent, surreal, decadent, delicate, shocking.
These are some of the adjective that come to my mind when I think about Mark Ryden's works and in my opinion it's actually the contrast between delicacy and macabre that makes Ryden's work appealing.
The parure I'm going to share today was inspired by two of my favourite paintings, "The tree of life" and "Fountain", and its made of a necklace, a brooch and a pair of earrings.
Per la collana ho scelto un pedente ovale in bronzo con piccole rose a rilievo che incornicia alla perfezione l'immagine stampata, conferendo un gusto retrò all'insieme.
For the necklace I chose an oval bronze pendant with engraved roses which perfectly frames the printed image, adding a retrò taste to the ensemble.
La spilla ripopone la stessa immagine, accentuata dalla sottile base in bronzo e dalle maggiori dimensioni.
The brooch displays the same image, emphasized by the thin bronze base and by the larger dimensions.
Per gli orecchini ho scelto dei pendanti ovali 13x18mm in bronzo anticato che incorniciano una porzione del quadro Tree of life.
For the earrings I chose some 13x18mm antique bronze oval pendants framing a portion of the painting Tree of life.
