Sew in love (cucito mon amour...)
La mia passione per il cucito è - purtroppo - inversamente proporzionale alla mia bravura.
Nonostante una mamma sarta ed infiniti tentativi non mi è mai riuscito di cucire qualcosa in modo dignitoso; e dire che da sempre mi affascina quel movimento lesto delle mani, gli attrezzi del mestiere, gli aghi, le forbici, i ditali e i fili colorati.
La poetica magia del creare un abito da un quadrato di stoffa, del rammendare ciò che si deteriora, dell'unire e dare forma.
Non potendo sfogare la mia fascinazione per il cucito utilizzando ago e filo ho deciso di trasportarla in un ambito a me più consono.
Sono nati così questi accessori dal gusto retrò ispirati al cucito.
My passion for sewing is - unfortunately - in inverse proportion with my skills.
In spite of a dressmaker mother and all my efforts I was never able to sew something properly; it's a pity because I was always fascinated by that quick movement of the hands, by the tools, the needles, the scissors, the thimbles and the threads.
The magic of creating a dress from a fabric cloth, of mending what's thorn, of sewing together and give shape.
Not being able to channel my fascination for sewing by using needles and string I chose to direct it in a more appropriate area for me.
That's how these accessories inspired by sewing were created.
Partendo da un'immagine vintage ho realizzato un braccialetto con pendente double face e charms a tema.
Starting from a vintage drawing I made a bracelet with double faced pendant and themed charms.
Ho utilizzato la stessa immagine in una sfumatura diversa per gli orecchini con pendente e pietra.
I used the same drawing but on a different background color for these earrings with pendant and beads.
Per la collana lunga ho utilizzato l'immagine di un ditale inserito nel pendente ed abbinato ad un grande ciondolo a forma di forbici.
For the long necklace I chose an old styled thimble drawing - insert in the round pendant - matched with a big scissor shaped trinket.
